Do Chinese Eat All Meals With Chopsticks?

Question: In Malaysia, do Chinese still use chopsticks? Do they use chopsticks with all meals? Are the chopsticks thrown out after one use?

Ha, many/most Chinese in Malaysia still use chopsticks! Not only Chinese in Malaysia use chopsticks, other races like the Indians and Malays are also good at using chopsticks now.

We use them with all meals, but obviously, we have to use metal/ stainless steel/plastic/porcelain spoons for soups and desserts.

The chopsticks are only thrown out after one use if you are in a restaurant or food court using disposable or one time bamboo/wooden chopsticks.

At home, we use regular bamboo/ivory/stainless steel chopsticks that can be rewashed and reused for a long time.
