I have set year 2010 to be my cooking year after having stopped cooking for more than 10 years.
A 39-year-old woman who has never liked and is not really good at cooking is going to make healthy Chinese home-cooked meals for hubby in year 2010?? Yes, I mean it.
I believe in TIMING. There is always a timing for doing certain thing. I think the timing for cooking healthy meals at home has come.
Since I can only start cooking after we move into the rented flat at the end of December, I am now busy clipping Chinese meal recipes and reading food/cooking/recipe blogs online.

With only a steamer, a rice cooker and a slow cooker I have for the time being, the recipes I have been collecting and reading are those involved steamed, stewed and shimmered Chinese dishes. Incidentally, hubby prefers steamed, stewed and shimmered dishes to fried and grilled foods for better health.
I am also looking for more recipes on Chinese desserts and herbal soups that work to strengthen the immune system and improve overall health being.
What I want to do in year 2010 is simple – healthy Chinese home-cooked meals, with simple ingredients, using simple cooking methods and cooking utensils.
