Chef Sam Leong’s Cookbook – A Taste Of Home: Home-Cooked Chinese Meals For Sharing With Family And Friends
While browsing through some cookbooks at Amazon the other day, I was surprised to have come across Sam Leong.
Hey, I saw this Malaysian (perhaps a Singaporean now) cook in a Chinese language cooking programme on Singapore television last year or 2, 3 years ago! I remember he was always made fun of by the female host of his Mandarin or Cantonese.
I didn’t watch every episode of the cooking program show, but to be frank, I liked his humor.
Celebrity Chef Sam Leong is often said to be outstanding in the culinary industry because of his forte in giving traditional Chinese cuisine a modern twist with the use of other Asian and Western ingredients and presentation styles.
A Taste of Home: Home-Cooked Chinese Meals for Sharing with Family and Friends is Sam’s third cook book after A Wok Through Time and Sensations published in 2005 and 2007 respectively.
You know, the theme of this cookbook is about easy cooking style in the kitchen! Its easy one-dish meals surely help encourage lazybones like me to rediscover the joy of home cooked Chinese meals again.
